Following the UK Government's decision to proceed with step 4 of its Covid-19 roadmap, face coverings and social distancing are no longer required in England. We are continuing to follow government guidance, which says that people are expected and recommended to continue wearing face coverings during journeys on public transport. We would recommend that face coverings are worn once you board the train for travel. Please bear in mind that some people are exempt from wearing a face covering and the reason why may not be immediately obvious. The Ecclesbourne Valley Railway is committed to staff, visitor and volunteer safety therefore for passengers with any additional health needs we have identified a small number of compartments where the wearing of face coverings is compulsory to help minimise the possibility of virus transmission. On behalf of everyone at the railway, we thank you for your continuing cooperation during these difficult times.
