Wirksworth Back to the 40s | 13/14 June

Come and join us over the weekend of 13-14 June 2026 for the third year of our 1940s event set in our beautiful town of Wirksworth in Derbyshire.

AN IMMERSIVE 1940s WEEKEND

We will have live music, trade stalls, re-enactors and steam train rides to take you back to the 1940s.

‘The Yorkshire Land Girl’ will also be portraying a range of characters on the train with storytelling and there will be a selection of WW2 era vehicles including a Diamond T tank transporter and Leyland Hippo lorry, as used on D-Day. 1940s period civilian vehicles will also be on display.

On Sunday 14 June we have lined up an Afternoon Tea with a live performance from the renowned singer, Johnny Victory.
