By bus: Wirksworth is served by two bus routes:
- Trentbarton Route 6.1: This regular service runs between Derby, Matlock and Bakewell, providing direct access to Duffield (Town Street/Co-op), Idridgehay (Wirksworth Road/Church) & Wirksworth Market Place.
- Stagecoach X17: operating between Barnsley and Wirksworth, via Sheffield, Chesterfield and Matlock.
