DESCRIPTION:This Bank Holiday weekend (2/3/4 May) we’re holding a bric-a-brac sale\, at Wirksworth Station\, next to the museum and shop. \nOpening each day from 10am to 4pm\, there will be dozens of stallholders selling china\, pottery\, cutlery\, glassware\, CDs\, DVDs and books\, plus jewellery\, furniture\, collectibles and so much more. \nEvery penny raised from the bric-a-brac sale will help to fund our exciting new station\, which will become the home of our operations\, including a ticket office\, shop\, museum and brand new café. \nThis is organised by Ecclesbourne Valley Railway Association (Registered charity no. 1106810)\, the charitable arm of Ecclesbourne Valley Railway. \n

DESCRIPTION:We’re looking forward to our Teddy Bears Picnic-themed day on Bank Holiday Monday 4 May\, which will feature our steam train pulling our restored heritage carriages. \nWe will have various children’s activities going on around the station\, including: \n\nChildren travel free on the train if they bring their favourite bear\nChild friendly trail\nPlay Zone at Wirksworth (toys and books will be in the gazebo and shelter on Platform 1)\nPicnic & Play Zone at Duffield Station (picnic blankets/benches and toys on the lawn)\nChildren’s picnic bags available to purchase at the Station Café and Kiosk\n\nWe’re also running our Tea & Cake offer for £20 per fare-paying customer. No need to book ahead just turn up on the day and when you have made you purchase at the ticket office you will receive your voucher for a hot drink and slice of cake.

DESCRIPTION:The Ecclesbourne Valley Railway is delighted to announce a special Model Show & Miniature Railway event at Wirksworth Station this May\, bringing together an exciting range of model displays\, hobby demonstrations and miniature railways. \nThe event is being held to raise funds for the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway Station Appeal\, helping to support the continued restoration and development of the historic station building at Wirksworth. \nA Celebration of Models\, Engineering and Railway Heritage \nVisitors can explore a wide range of displays and activities throughout the station site.
