SUMMARY:Easter Steam Service
DESCRIPTION:Over the long Easter weekend\, running from Good Friday (3 April) to Easter Monday (6 April) we have lined up an exciting range of events and activities for all age groups. \nGOOD FRIDAY \nOn Friday\, it’s steam services all day and we will be serving a range of drinks and snack from our take-away kiosk and from our licensed Apollo bar\, which also stocks a range of wines and beers\, along with soft drinks and coffee. \nSATURDAY 4 APRIL \nAlong with our steam services\, which will be running all day\, our Duffield Shopper Special will also be operating to bring people from Duffield (departing 8.20am) to Wirksworth where they can visit the popular Wirksworth Farmers Market (which operates the first Saturday of the month). \nEASTER SUNDAY \nOn Easter Sunday we will be running steam services all day and we will be serving a range of drinks and snack from our take-away kiosk and from our licensed Apollo bar\, which also stocks a range of wines and beers\, along with soft drinks and coffee. \nWe are also serving a 3-course Easter Sunday Roast Lunch for which bookings are essential. \nFollow this LINK for all the details \n>> BOOK EASTER SUNDAY ROAST LUNCH << \nEASTER MONDAY \nFor Easter Monday we have lined up our Family Fun Day\, which will take place in addition to our steam services\, which will include: \n\nEaster Bunny (appearances throughout the day from 10am to 4pm)\nEaster Egg Hunt (included with the ticket price\, with a prize for every child)\nFace Painting (extra charges apply)\nChildren’s Play Zone (with activities for all ages)\nStream Train Rides (normal adult fares apply; U15s travel free & get a free goodie bag\n\nWe will also be running services to our Ravenstor station\, which is included in the ticket price. DESCRIPTION:Take the Ravenstor Shuttle\, a Diesel Multiple Unit\, to Ravenstor Station\, which is the most northerly point of the line\, situated just half a mile away from Wirksworth Station at the end of a 1-in-27 incline. \nOn arrival it could be mistaken that you are in the middle of nowhere! In fact\, you are just a few minutes away from many of the tourist attractions associated with the Peak District. \nAround the Station \nThere are many places to visit around Ravenstor Station and indeed one could spend a whole day visiting all of them! \nIf you are planning a day in the Peak District why not travel from Duffield to Wirksworth by train and hop onto our Ravenstor shuttle.
