Restoration of Class 119 Driving Motor Brake Composite W51073

The green compartment Pulling a Free Wheelie

Progress reported on 15/10/12.

Attention was turned to the underframe this weekend with the team installing the freewheel for No.2 engine. This is an important part of the drive train for this engine connecting the flywheel on the engine to the gearbox. As part of this, the belts are put on to the pulley arrangement to allow the vacuum exhauster and the alternator to turn when the engine runs.

Internally the chipping of the rusty parts on the walls of the second class area was completed ready for internal panelling.
