This wagon arrived on the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway in January 2011. It was previously used for the storage of waste oil at Crewe works before being preserved on the Llangollen Railway in Wales. Little is known about this wagon at the moment but we think that by the continental style of the chassis that it might have been used on international traffic. It is possibly the sort of wagon that might have travelled by ferry from the UK to France. It is used as a water store for our steam engines.
