Stations

There are many stations along the 8 1/2 mile stretch of track that runs between Wirksworth and Duffield. These stations include Idridgehay, our first break south of Wirksworth and also Shottle. Unfortunately, Hazelwood station was removed and only the station house remains - could we possibly reinstate it in the future?

Use the link below to explore these stations and their facilities, of which three are open (Ravenstor, Wirksworth and Idridgehay). Of the remainder, the branch platform at Duffield is scheduled to open in October 2010, with Shottle as the next objective. Hazelwood station remains a long-term objective for a halt, while other locations have been considered as new station sites.

Use the links above to explore over 100 years of history, the station buildings or find out information about the company that runs these stations today.
