		Santa Specials 2006 Here you can see the excellent Santa Specials 2006, where Santa was being held hostage by pirates in a brake van at Ravenstor Station. The pirates were seen here sword fighting over the rescue of Santa Clause. Children were taken to see the rescue by boarding the express from Wirksworth Station. "Pirate" John Bentley sadly died suddenly whilst on a scout trip in September, 2007 but his contribution to the railway will last forever.
Shunting in Wirksworth Yard Shot during the snow in early February 2006, a lack of a duty shunting engine driver forces a shunt movement to be performed by two single-car DMUs coupled together. It is surprising what DMUs can pull as a tail load.
		Return from Idridgehay to Wirksworth Here is a video shot by a passenger onboard a service through the front windows during September 2008. This video shows how the train has to slow down due to flooding on the "Racing Straight". This area had some serious drainage work performed during the following winter and now drains much better. Whole tree routes were unearthed - it is now wonder the drains wouldn't flow!
DMU Racing? Using the new platform 2 at Wirksworth Station, we are able to have multiple arrivals into the station at the same time. This is a sight that was never originally seen here.
		Home Fleet Gala Weekend February 28th/March 1st 2009 Here is some footage shot during the above weekend where Class 20 D8001 along with various DMU vehicles and an 03 with a brake van ran all weekend on various different lines.
