Wirksworth Miniature Railway

The Wirksworth Miniature Railway is a 7 1/4" gauge railway being built and operated from the end of Platform 1 at Wirksworth Station. The line runs alongside the big railway and is gradually being extended with the grand aim of reaching The Hannages foot crossing, around 1/3 of a mile away. This sit on railway uses a variety of steam and battery-operated locomotives and can be enjoyed by all the family.

Opening Times

The Miniature Railway is normally open on Saturdays through the season as well as at other selected special events, 11:00 until 15:00.

Prices

You can enjoy two rides along the line for just £1.00 for adults and £0.50 for children. Rides are operated on a turn-up-and-go basis.
