About the Event

Continuing with our theme of new and exciting events, we would like to present our first ever Steam Gala weekends. The weekends will consist of our very own freshly restored resident steam locomotive running in tandem with one of the oldest working steam locomotives in preservation. "Bellerophon" will be joining us from the Foxfield Railway giving you the opportunity to travel behind this historic and now celebrity (after starring in BBC TV's 'Cranford' series recently) locomotive on a line that she has never traversed before. As we are still learning in the area of steam operation, the steam services will be complemented by our diesel railcars.

Location and Opening Times

At Wirksworth station. The station site will be open each day from 10:00 until 17:30.
