The start of 2009 sees activity on the Ecclesbourne Valley railway intensify as our Dash to Duffield gathers pace. In this issue you will see detailed reports from departmental managers on specific areas of activity in track clearance, drainage repair, sleeper renewal, track alteration, platform repair plus the preparation of additional rolling stock and all the other activities that are associated with rehabilitating nearly 5 miles of railway for passenger use.
All this work is being undertaken by our hard working volunteer workforce under the guidance of our full-time General Manager and his Project Manager. The necessary financial... (click here
